Catherine Vladutiu is a Senior Epidemiologist in HRSA Maternal and Child Health Bureau’s (MCHB) Office of Epidemiology and Research.  In this role, she provides technical leadership and consultation on performance measurement, data collection and analysis, reporting, and evaluation for selected MCHB programs and initiatives, such as the Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health and the State Maternal Health Innovation program.  She also provides substantive and methodological expertise in maternal and perinatal health.  In 2020, Dr. Vladutiu co-led the development of the Surgeon General’s Call to Action to Improve Maternal Health and has since received numerous federal awards for her maternal health work. 

Dr. Vladutiu has conducted epidemiologic research pertaining to women and children’s health for over twenty years and has published more than 70 peer-reviewed articles.   

Dr. Vladutiu has a PhD in epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MPH in maternal and child health epidemiology from the University of Rochester.
