Dawn’s clinical background includes maternal as well as neonatal care and she is the Clinical Program Director for POWER. The POWER program provides support to delivering hospitals in Arkansas and works to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes. Work to increase birth equity for all patients has been a lifelong passion. She serves as the Arkansas perinatal quality improvement coordinator for the Institute for Prenatal Quality Improvement as well as a member of the Arkansas’ Maternal Perinatal Outcomes Quality Review (MPOQR) Education subcommittee. Dawn was one of the first in the state to complete the new Obstetric and Neonatal Quality and Safety certification (ONQS).
