Alexis Jackson is a Certified Labor/Birth Doula, Certified Postpartum & Infant Care Doula, owner of Your Family Tree Doula Services, LLC, and a current Board member of Arkansas’ Midwifery Advisory Board. While in her previous career in Human Resources at a local hospital, Alexis became familiar with doula work and immediately discovered her passion. After learning the role of a doula, Alexis reflected on her own birth experiences, specifically her experience with delivering her first son, prematurely, via c-section due to preeclampsia and almost losing her life. With formal training as a doula in addition to over 10yrs experience in hospital administration, Alexis has dedicated herself to making sure mothers are more educated about their bodies, the birthing process, and how to advocate for themselves through the medical system.
