Dr. Mirochnitchenko received a M.S. in biochemistry with honors and a Ph.D. in molecular biology. He came to the NIH in 2010 from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, NJ, where he was a faculty member at the Department of Biochemistry for 20 years. At the Division of Comparative Medicine at ORIP he has a portfolio of extramural projects which includes rodent-related resources, stem cell biology\/regenerative medicine grants, Pilot Centers for Precision Disease Modeling, trans-NIH research initiatives (Somatic Cell Genome Editing Initiative, Knockout Mice Phenotyping Project) and regular research grants.
