Health Program Specialist, Office of Neural Exposome & Toxicology
National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Dr. Neel T. Dhruv joined the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) in 2021 as the Health Program Specialist supporting the NIH Countermeasures Against Chemical Threats (CounterACT) program, the Office of Neural Exposome and Toxicology Research (ONETOX), and the Division of Translational Research. Prior to joining NINDS, Dr. Dhruv was a manuscript editor at Nature Neuroscience, with primary responsibility to handle papers focusing on systems, cognitive, and computational neuroscience.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Dhruv received his Ph.D. in Neural Science from New York University, researching the contributions of the parallel pathways of visual processing in early visual cortex of non-human primates in the lab of Dr. Peter Lennie. Following receipt of his degree, Dr. Dhruv did a postdoctoral fellowship in Dr. Matteo Carandini’s lab at University College London (UCL). While there, he studied how neural representations transform across visual areas in mouse. While at UCL, Dr. Dhruv received a Newton Fellowship from the Royal Society and an International Research Fellowship from the National Science Foundation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
