Dr. Christine Swanson-Fischer is a Program Director in the Division of Neuroscience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among her current duties at\u00a0NINDS<\/mark><\/a>, Dr. Swanson-Fischer manages\u00a0portfolio of research grants and cooperative agreements and supports NINDS clinical data- and biomarkers-focused programs in Parkinson\u2019s Disease (PD), including the NINDS PD Biomarkers Program (PDBP) and the public-private partnership Accelerating Medicines Partnership for PD (AMP PD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to joining\u00a0NINDS<\/mark><\/a>, Dr. Swanson-Fischer was a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Alice Chen-Plotkin at the University of Pennsylvania in the Department of Neurology, where she studied unbiased approaches to biomarker discovery and validation in Parkinson\u2019s disease.\u00a0 She completed a PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she focused on neuroprotective and regenerative strategies for Parkinson’s disease in preclinical models.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
