Julyann Perez-Mayoral is a Scientific Program Manager in the National Cancer Institute’s Center for Cancer Genomics for the Human Cancer Models Initiative (HCMI) Program. Dr. Perez-Mayoral received her PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Ponce Health Sciences University. Her graduate work was focused on understanding the association of genetic variants in DNA repair genes with breast cancer risk and DNA repair capacity. She completed her postdoctoral training at the University of Puerto Rico Comprehensive Cancer Center where she worked on multiple projects focused on hereditary cancer genetics and cancer health disparities. As a Scientific Program Manager for the HCMI program, she performs critical quality control checks to ensure the highest quality of next-generation cancer models available through HCMI.
