Dr. Peruzzi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery<\/strong><\/a>. He holds an appointment as an attending clinical neurosurgeon<\/strong><\/a>, as well as a principal investigator in the neuro-oncology research  laboratories at the Brigham and Women\u2019s Hospital.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Peruzzi works together with a dedicated support team to provide the best, most timely and compassionate care to patients suffering from neurological disorders, particularly malignant brain tumors.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Peruzzi leads a molecular biology laboratory focused in basic research to find a cure to malignant brain tumors<\/strong><\/a>, and is also involved in multiple clinical trials for the treatment of brain tumors <\/strong><\/a>at the BWH, including oncolytic virotherapy and the use of novel microdevices to guide personalized chemotherapy to patients with brain cancers<\/strong><\/a>.  Dr Peruzzi has been continuously supported by NIH funding for his laboratory research since he  joined the staff at the Brigham<\/strong><\/a>. He has received the Neurosurgery Research and Education Foundation fellowship by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, as well as the prestigious American Academy of Neurological Surgery Award.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
